How to Get Choice Specs in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

In the Pokémon series, the Choice Specs is a held item that can be given to a Pokémon to increase their special attack stat by 50%, although it traps them into only being able to use the first move selected. Giving this item to a primarily special attacking Pokémon can create a devasting special sweeper if used correctly.

Such a powerful item can be hard to come by in the main series games, often having to be found by or given to the player through various means. In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, several are available for purchase by the player.

How to Get Choice Specs in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Mesagoza, the main city in the Scarlet and Violet games, not only contains either the Naranja or Uva Academy (respectively), but also several shops the player can visit. These shops, like Delibird Presents, sell useful items that players can purchase.

Completing the game's main storyline and then returning to the Mesagoza branch of Delibird Presents, found near the West gate leading to South Province (Area Two), will allow players to buy various items, including the Choice Specs, Choice Band and Choice Scarf items.

Each of these items come at the hefty price of 100,000 Pokédollars, so players will have to save up cash from defeating trainers and selling items that fetch high prices throughout their Scarlet and Violet journey.

After purchasing the Choice Specs, giving it to a Pokémon on the player's team will see that Pokémon deal incredible damage with their special moves in battle.
