Iron Treads Evolution, Stats, Location: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

After completing the main storyline, trainers are able to encounter Iron Treads in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Amongst the new generation nine Pokémon, there exists a rare group of Pokémon called Paradox Pokémon. Iron Treads is a part of this unique line of Pokémon and is known for its resemblance to its contemporary counterpart. Read on to find out more about Paradox Pokémon and Iron Treads. 

Iron Treads Evolution: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Don’t be deceived by Iron Treads’ similar appearance to the generation two Armor Pokémon, Donphan as it is an entirely different Pokémon. Unlike Donphan, it does not have any evolutionary forms and it is a dual Ground and Steel-type. 

Iron Treads Stats: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Paradox Pokémon are known for their high base stats and, Iron Treads is no exception: 90 HP, 112 ATK, 120 DEF, 72 SP. ATK, 70 SP. DEF, and 106 SPD.

Similar to other Paradox Pokémon, like Iron Moth, Iron Treads has the Quark Drive Ability which increases the highest stat, in this case DEF, by 30% when Iron Treads is on Electric Terrain or if it is holding Booster Energy.

Iron Treads Location: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

In both games, trainers will first come across Iron Treads as the Quaking Earth Titan in the Asado Desert west of Casseroya and just south of Port Marinada.

However, Iron Treads is only catchable in Pokémon Violet. After completing all of the game’s story paths: Victory Road, Path of Legends, and Starfall Street, you will be able to find Iron Treads in the caves of Area Zero in the Great Crater of Paldea.
