Sinistea Evolution, Stats, Location: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Nintendo

Sinistea is a Ghost-type Pokémon introduced in Gen 8. Here's what you need to know about this little teacup Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Sinistea is an interesting Pokémon to encounter. It has two forms that players can find, each one determining the item needed to evolve it into Polteageist. If you're looking to complete the Pokédex, only one form of Sinistea will need to be captured. But, if you're a true completionist, then you'll want to get both the Phony and Antique forms of Sinistea.

Sinistea Evolution: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

For Sinistea to evolve into Polteageist, you'll first need to check which form you've captured. Depending on the form, you'll need either the Cracked Pot or Chipped Pot evolution item.

  • The Phony Form — lacks a stamp of authenticity and requires a Cracked Pot to evolve.
  • The Antique Form — has a stamp of authenticity and requires a Chipped Pot to evolve.

Antique Form Sinistea has a stamp of authenticity on the bottom of the cup.

Sinistea Stats: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Sinistea's highest base stat is its Special Attack, sitting at 74. Its lowest is its health stat at 40, meaning that Sinistea is unlikely to be your party's tank Pokémon. Here are its full base stats:

  • HP: 40
  • Attack: 45
  • Defense: 45
  • Special Attack: 74
  • Special Defense: 54
