Maschiff Evolution, Stats, Location: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Trainers in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet who might want a friendly canine by their side should consider Maschiff. Known as the Rascal Pokémon, Maschiff makes a great and powerful companion when exploring the Paldea region. As one of the new generation nine Pokémon, trainers might not know a lot about Maschiff.

Maschiff Evolution: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Maschiff evolves into a much stronger, Mabosstiff, at level 30. Maschiff and Mabosstiff are Dark-types, so they are both vulnerable to Fighting, Bug, and Fairy-type moves and resistant to Ghost and Dark-type moves. 

Maschiff Stats: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

For being the starter in an evolution line, Maschiff has a solid set of base stats: 60 HP, 78 ATK, 60 DEF, 40 SP. ATK, 51 SP. DEF, and 51 SPD. 

Additionally, Maschiff has two abilities and one hidden ability. Like Gyarados, Maschiff can come with Intimidate which lowers the opponent’s attack when entering battle. Maschiff’s Run Away ability also ensures that users can escape from any wild Pokémon encounter.

Maschiff’s hidden ability is Stakeout which inflicts twice the amount of damage when an opponent switches into battle.

Maschiff primarily roams Western Paldea. This includes the South Province (Area Four) South Province (Area Two) West Province (Area Three), and West Province (Area Two).
